There were 2,332,837 auto loan defaults last year, exceeding levels seen during the Great Recession. Approximately 1.73 million vehicles were repossessed, which was the highest level in over a decade. March sales are expected to decline slightly from last year, but the future looks bleak due to tariffs. Economists have been worried about a recession for years and it appears one is finally going to happen thanks to a mix of job cuts, tariffs, and uncertainty.
