Mexico May 2025: Ram up 79.2%, Nissan Magnite instant blockbuster

The Nissan Magnite is up to #11 for its third month in market. Mexican new car sales stabilise in May at -0.2% to 119,959 units. This is the third biggest May volume in the past 8 years below last year (119,985) and the 122,925 sales of May 2017. The year-to-date tally is up 1.1% to 593,361. Nissan (+8.4%) vastly outpaces the market to a solid 18.8% share, distancing a struggling Chevrolet (-6.7%).

Austria May 2025: Cupra (+92.8%) repeats at record #5, market up 22.7%

The Leon nameplate (Cupra+Seat) would be #2 overall this month. 24,311 new cars hit Austrian roads in May, a fantastic 22.7% year-on-year surge. This way, the year-to-date tally is now up 10.3% to 115,183. Volkswagen (-1%) can’t catch up with the market growth but still manages 14.5% share vs. 14.4% so far this year. Skoda (+69.1%) is euphoric below at 10.5% of the market, distancing BMW (+24.4%) and Audi (+10.9%).

Independent car dealer Solo Cars zooms in on Tesla price falls

Solo Cars, a winner in the Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards in 2023, has targeted Tesla used cars, benefiting from falling values earlier this year. UK sales volumes of used Teslas in February reached record levels with 2,690 sold, according to data company Marketcheck. This was the highest amount in a single month since Teslas were introduced to the UK market.

In April, the Moroccan new car market shoots up 35.7% year-on-year to 18,149 units, divided into 15,740 passenger cars (+32.2%) and 2,409 light commercials (+76.8%).
